It is my great honour to welcome you to Rome for the 10th Biennial Congress of the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons.
This event marks the 20th anniversary of the first constituent congress of the ESES in 2004 in Pisa.
The Congress program focuses on the most recent advances in this field and should appeal to a broad audience of specialists. The scientific program includes pre-congress symposia, keynotes, invited lectures, including BJS lecture, free paper sessions, including Best Oral Paper session, and BJS Prize Session, video sessions, and commercial exhibits.
A full social program each evening provides the opportunity to network with colleagues and international experts.
Rome, the Eternal City, is famous in Europe and all over the World as a city of culture and science which has been playing a significant role not only in European history but also is a part of the World heritage.
I am sure that your active participation at the Congress will enrich the scientific value of the meeting. I hope that your stay in Rome will bring many unforgettable moments and will stay in your minds forever.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is a great honor and a privilege for us to host the 10th Biennal Congress of the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons in Rome.
The postponement related to the COVID-19 pandemic has rendered this meeting even more significative, and special. ESES comes back to Italy exactly twenty years after the First Constituent Congress held in Pisa in May 2004.
What a great coincidence and what a great responsibility! We are doing our best for organizing a Congress up to your expectations, both from the scientific and the social point of view.
Selected papers sessions will give all of us the opportunity to share the last achievements in the field of Endocrine Surgery. BJS prize, best oral and best poster presentations prizes will be delivered to the most deserving researchers. Please, submit your best works: the success of the Congress is related also to the quality of the presented papers!
Invited lectures will focus on hot topics in the different fields of Endocrine Surgery, while the joint sessions will give us the opportunity to interact with other Societies involved in the management of the Endocrine Disorders.
The Congress will be preceded by a one-day pre-Congress live surgery meeting, that will be devoted to the application of new technologies in the treatment of Endocrine Diseases and by half-a-day pre- Congress Courses.
The exam of Division of Endocrine Surgery (DES) of the Section of Surgery of the UEMS and Eurocrine sessions will complete, as usual, the program.
End of May is also the best period to visit Rome, whose history spans 28 centuries. We hope that, outside the scientific program, you will have the opportunity to enjoy your stay in the Eternal City, being fascinated by its unicity.
